The Spanish bass and pianist, Andrés Soler Castaño, completed his advanced piano studies at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música Victoria Eugenia de Granada in Granada, and furthered his studies at the Universität für Musik und Darstellende Kuns in Vienna with Matthias Trachsel. He then moved to Brussels, where he earned a Master's degree in Piano Accompaniment from the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles with Philippe Riga, Eliane Reyes and Jean-Claude Vanden Eynden. In 2008, he received a Special Mention in the Premios Manuel de Falla de la Universidad de Granada, in the category of Musical Performance and Chamber Music. As of 2014, he worked as an accompanist at the Académie de Musique de Woluwe-Saint-Lambert in Brussels.
As a bass singer, Andrés Soler Castaño is a member of Vlaams Radio Koor (Director: Bart Van Reyn), SWARA Vocal Ensemble (Director: Ivan Yohan), Huelgas Ensemble (Director: Paul Van Nevel) and Vox Luminis (Director: Lionel Meunier). He is performing at halls and festivals all around Europe (Amsterdam, Brussels, Madrid, Oslo, Paris, Vienna, Vilnius, Antwerpen, Utrecht ...). In 2023, he sang the Role of Christus in J.S. Bach's at Johannes-Passion BWV 245 with Cantores Koren Familie conducted by Reinhard Andries, in Brugge. He currently lives in Brussels, Belgium. |
