The Kammerorchester Suon di Corda is a string ensemble of professional musicians, most of whom have been playing together since their student days. Flexible in its instrumentation, ranging from string quintet to chamber orchestra, the ensemble stands for exceptional musical joy and harmonious interplay. Together with guest musicians for the wind and woodwind parts, Suon di Corda performs the orchestral parts in oratorios, cantatas, and secular works.
The ensemble was founded in 2017 by concertmaster Hartwig Meynecke and cellist Sabine Lauer, who at the time realized that project orchestras almost always consist of the same talented musicians who are extremely well-rehearsed and enjoy working together. All that was needed was a name for the "child":
Suon di Corda (Italian for "Sound of the String"). |

Hartwig Meynecke studied with Oswald Gattermann (Heutling Quartet) and Adam Kostecki (a master student of David Oistrakh). He was concert-master of the Jungen Sinfonieorchester Hannover and the Jungen Philharmonischen Orchester Niedersachen (JPON). His repertoire ranges from Baroque to Jazz, and he has played with, among others, the Jungen deutschen Philharmonie, Concerto Brandenburg (early music), and Till Brönner (Big Band). With his wife Monika Meynecke (piano), he has led the salon music ensemble BelAmi since the late 1990's.
In addition to his active concert career as a violinist and singer, which has taken him to five continents, Hartwig Meynecke works as an instrumental teacher, conductor, arranger, and composer. |
