Ilya Tatakov (Bass)

Born: 1990 - Yaroslav, Russia

The Russian bass, Ilya Tatakov (Russian: Илья Татаков), studied organ at the M.M. Ippolitov-Ivanov Children's Music School and piano at the N.P. Osipov Children's Music School. In 2008, he graduated from the Moscow Choir School named after A.V. Sveshnikov and continued his studies at the V.S. Popov Academy of Choral Art (class of Professor Dmitry Vdovin).

Since 2010, Ilya Tatakov has been a soloist with the Sretensky Monastery Choir, with which he has toured the USA, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France, Qatar and China. He performs with the Questa Musica Ensemble (Director: Philipp Chizhevsky), Intrada Vocal Ensemble (Director: Ekaterina Antonenko), MusicAeterna Choir (Director: Teodor Currentzis) and other famous Russian groups.

As a soloist, Ilya Tatakov takes part in various projects and festivals dedicated to early and modern music. As part of the Moscow Philharmonic subscriptions "Another Space. Continuo" and Musica Sacra Nova, he participated in world and Russian premieres. At the Gorky+ festival, he took part in the premiere of the play The Life of an Unnecessary Man with music by Vladimir Rannev. As part of choral groups, he performed with orchestras under the direction of many famous conductors, including Evgeny Svetlanov, Rudolf Barshai, Yuri Temirkanov, Valery Gergiev, Yuri Bashmet, Vladimir Spivakov and Ken-David Mazur. He currently lives in Moscow, Russia.
