Klim Tikhonov (Tenor)

Born: 1997 - Irkutsk, Irkutsk Oblast, Russia

The Russian tenor, Klim Tikhonov, graduated in 2021 from St Petersburg’s Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia (class of Mikhail Kit). He was Prize-winner at the XXII International Music Competition Pietro Argento (Gioia del Colle, Italy, 2019; 2nd prize), Prize-winner at the 6th International B.T. Shtokolov Vocal Competition (St Petersburg, 2018; 2nd prize), Prize-winner at the 4th International Vocal Competition Star Rhapsody (St Petersburg, 2018; 1st prize).

Klim Tikhonov was a soloist with the St Petersburg Music Hall Theatre during 2020-2021. In 2021, he became a fellow of the Atkins Young Artists Program at the Mariinsky Theatre. In 2022 he made his debut at the theatre, performing the part of Ramiro in La Cenerentola.

Klim Tikhonov's repertoire at the Mariinsky Theatre: Mozart in Mozart and Salieri, Bagoas in Serov’s Judith (chamber version), Triquet in Eugene Onegin (chamber version), Pedrillo in W.A. Mozart's Die Entführung aus dem Serail, Tamino in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, Don Ottavio in W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni, Count Almaviva in Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia, Lindoro in L’italiana in Algeri, Ramiro in La Cenerentola, Il Conte di Libenskof in Il viaggio a Reims, Lord Arturo Talbo in I puritani (chamber version), Ernesto in Don Pasquale, Nemorino in L’elisir d’amore, Alfred in Die Fledermaus, Brighella in Ariadne auf Naxos; Tenor roles in J.S. Bach's Matthäus-Passion BWV 244, Berlioz’ Roméo et Juliette and Orff’s Carmina Burana.

Klim Tikhonov’s repertoire also includes: Vladimir Igorevich in Prince Igor, Lensky in Eugene Onegin, Piskaryov in Nevsky Prospekt, Nadir in Georges Bizet's Les Pêcheurs de perles, Beppe in Pagliacci, Duke of Mantua in Rigoletto, tenor part in W.A. Mozart's Requiem.
