The American mezzo-soprano, Emma Unkrich, comes from a musical family. She currently studies for her Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance & Music Education at Eastman School of Music, University of Rochester (since Fall 2020; expected graduation: 2024). She is a vocalist but she has also played cello all her life. She loves classical music and has a huge passion for musical theatre and acting. Some of her favorite past roles include: Sarah Brown in Guys and Dolls, Alaska in Once On This Island, and Elizabeth Proctor in The Crucible. At Eastman, she is a member of Eastman Chorale (Director: William Weinert), Eastman Repertory Singers, and Eastman Collegium Vocal Ensemble; participated in Eastman School of Music: Bach Cantata Series (BWV 63, October 2021); peformed the role of La Natura in Francesco Cavalli's La Calisto (Eastman Opera Theatre, February 2022); and sang in the ensemble of George Frideric Handel's Alcina (Eastman Opera Theatre, January-February 2023). |
