The Ecuadorian soprano, Vanessa Valladares Guerrero, studied at the Conservatorio Nacional de Música - Quito with Maestro Francisco Piedra and at the Fundación Orquesta Sinfónica Juvenil del Ecuador (FOSJE) with Maestro Carmen Alonso. She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Music Education at the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador. She has received singing classes with Yanzelmalee Rivera, Rosa D'Imperio, Richard Gordon, María José Fabara and master-classes with teachers Stefano Vizioli, Francis Greep, Gerald Martín Moore and Leonardo Vordoni.
As a member of the Coro Mixto Ciudad de Quito of the Fundación Teatro Nacional Sucre, Vanessa Valladares has participated in various operas and musicals such as Luisa Fernanda, Sweeney Todd, Suor Angelica, W.A. Mozart's Cosí fan tutte and Charles Gounod's Faust; symphonic choral works such as W.A. Mozart's Requiem, Verdi's Requiem and as a soprano soloist in Gabriel Fauré's Requiem under the direction of Maestro Joseph Flummerfelt. In 2012 she played Maria in Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story, in 2014 as Lisette in the opera La Rondine, in 2017 in Les Miserables as Cosette, in 2018 in La Flauta mágica de los Andes as Papagena and in 2021 Dido and Aeneas as Belinda 2021; and in opera galas with the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional and the Orquesta Filarmónica under the direction of Maestros Álvaro Manzano, Alfredo Rugeles, Patricio Aizaga and Yuri Sobolev.
Vanessa Valladares is currently part of the Coro Mixto Ciudad de Quito and is a member of Fantasía Ensamble and Frecuencia Fundamental. |
