The American-born tenor, Ryan Veillet, began his musical studies as an oboist, but would always find occasions to sing in church choirs, musical theater productions, and in collegiate a cappella groups. Hae obtained his degrees in Music and Choral Conducting from Pomona College in Claremont, California and the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
After his studies, Ryan Veillet came to Paris and quickly joined the ranks of vocal ensembles including Les Cris de Paris, Les Metaboles, Ensemble 101, Les Elements, Chœur de Chambre Accentus (Director: Laurence Equilbey), Jacques Moderne, Ensemble Pygmalion (Director: Raphaël Pichon), and Quatour A'dam (with tenor Olivier Rault; baritone Louis-Pierre Patron; and bass Julien Guilloton). He has performed in many of the most prestigious music festivals including Les Folles Journees de Nantes, le Festival de la Chaise Dieu, and the Festival of Aix en Provence, and has performed in staged works at the Théâtre du Chatelet, the Grand Théâtre de Luxembourg, les Bouffes du Nord, and the Opéra Comique.
