The German tenor, Ingo Wackenhut, studied musicology and German studies in Heidelberg. From 1983 freelance music journalist, author/editor. In 1987, he was scholarship holder of Richard- Wagner-Stiftung for the Bayreuth Festival.
Ingo Wackenhut has participated in concerts at home and abroad, as a solo tenor as well as in various solo vocal ensembles, including some world premieres and participation in several independent music theatre productions, guest engagement with the Opernhaus Halle. A member of the ensemble and the association of Musikbühne Mannheim since 1995, he has appeared in numerous productions, including as Peter Munk in Das kalte Herz, Dandini in Cinderella, and the Father and Duke in Zwerg Nase. He also performed in the political operetta revue Tanz auf dem Vulkan and in Musikbühne Mannheim anniversary program Die Theaterchefin until the final performance. His current repertoire includes the Wolf in Rotkäppche, the Prince/Cook in Sleeping Beauty, the Water Sprite in Die kleine Meerjungfrau, and Man/Dragon in Fredo und der Drache. He will take on the role of the pompous King in Gestiefelten Kater. He can also be seen in Sleeping Beauty - For Adults Only Musikbühne Mannheim's production. |
