The German bass-baritone, Alexis Wagner, studied after graduation first music education, then singing and opera with the Kammersänger Günther Reich and Professor Raimund Gilvan at the Music Academies in Freiburg, Karlsruhe and Saarbrücken. He was scholarship holder of the Richard Wagner Association, graduated with Diploma in 1990 and passed the Concert maturity exam in 1994.
Alexis Wagner has international concert activities, including the Europäischen Wochen Passau, the Stagione sinfonica Palermo, the Festival d'automne Paris, in Berlin, Hamburg and Salzburg he participated in the premiere of Luigi Nono's Prometeo conducted by Claudio Abbado. He also participated in concert series with Kurt Weill's Die sieben Todsünden conducted by Gabriele Ferro in Palermo.
From 1993 to 1997 Alexis Wagner was an ensemble member at the Südostbayerischen Städtetheater Passau, where he appeared as Figaro, Dulcamara, Moses, etc. From 1997 to 2002 he appeared as a guest at Stadttheater Gießen, Landestheater Linz, Teatro Verdi in Busseto, as well as at the Theaters in Kiel, Regensburg, Hof and with the Komödie im Bayerischen Hof München. With the start of the 2002-2003 season he is an ensemble member at the Pfalztheaters Kaiserslautern.
Alexis Wagner took part in radio productions of Hessischen Rundfunk, Saarländischen Rundfunk and Südwestfunk and in many recordings. |
