The German soprano, Birgit Wagner, completed her singing studies at the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin.
After her debut as Marzelline, Birgit Wagner was engaged at the Theater Vorpommern, where she sang among other things the roles of Susanna, Gretel, Papagena and Frasquita. Since 1996 she works as free-lance concert and opera singer in Berlin. Apart from her pasrticipation in numerous theatre productions (Susanna, Queen of the Night, Gretel, Fatime, Isolde), the big oratorios and masses in her repertoire are as important as chamber music and solo programs. Thus she has appeared as a guest with the Neubrandenburger Philharmonie, the Preußischen Kammerorchester, the European Medical Students' Choir and the Neuköllner Oper.
Birgit Wagner has co-operated with the Schlossplatz Theater since 1996: among other things in Mozart und die Zauberflöte, Oberon, Hänsel und Gretel mit ohne Pfefferkuchen, Pinocchios Abenteuer, Reif für die Insel with Henry Purcell. |
