The American tenor and choral conductor, Sean Watland, obtained his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Valparaiso University (2009-2014); and his Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting from Boston University (2015-2017).
In 2015, Sean Watland attended a master-class with Valparaiso University and the Leipziger Barockorchester in Germany where he conducted two services in the St. Thomaskirche in Leipzig. He served as Assistant Conductor of Boston Choral Ensemble (June 2016-June 2018); Director of Music at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Lexington (June 2017-June 2018); Music Faculty - Choral Director at Boston Trinity Academy (June 2017-June 2018). In 2017, he was invited to attend the Norfolk Chamber Music Festival at Yale University as a conductor. He is currently based in Chicago, Illinois. He sings as a soloist across Chicago and as a chorister with the Grant Park Festival Chorus and Chicago Symphony Chorus. |
