The German mezzo-soprano, Julia Werner, completed her Bachelor of Music degree with distinction in Bernhard Gärtner's class in July 2019. In addition, she studied music education with a major in violin with Sabine Kraut. Master-classes, among others with Margreet Honig, Thomas Seyboldt and Frithjof Smith complete her musical training. She is currently studying singing with Professor Marion Eckstein at the Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart. Because of her outstanding artistic achievements, she was supported by the Germany Scholarship.
Already at the beginning of her studies Julia Werner took over several solo parts in concerts at the university and is now a sought-after soloist in the concert field, where she has already demonstrated her versatility in early music, J.S. Bach's Passions as well as the classical and romantic oratorios. She is also a member of Solistenensemble Stimmkunst (Director: Kay Johannsen). Lieder recitals round off their concert activities.
Julia Werner gained operatic experience in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte in a production by the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart and with Cantiamo Estatico Francis Poulenc's Dialogues des Carmélites at the Opernschule Stuttgart. In June 2019 she could be heard and seen with the Württembergischen Philharmonie Reutlingen in the Offenbach revue Enchanté. |
