Sebastian - Episode 05: Sebastian's disappointed when he realises that approaching Johann Adam Reincken, one of the greatest masters of his day, turns out to be more difficult than anticipated. He decides to return home, but then something very unexpected happens...

Sebastian - Episode 06: Sebastian's becoming renowned as one of the greatest talents that have ever studied at the Lüneburg academy. An irresistible job offer follows suit but it soon turns out that the job isn't what he'd hoped for. Until... he meets an angel.

Sebastian - Episode 07: After having been reprimanded severely for "inappropriate behaviour", Sebastian asks for leave to travel to Lübeck, to visit the greatest master of his time: Dietrich Buxtehude. He gets four weeks, but Sebastian's so fascinated by master Buxtehude that he "forgets" to return in time.

Sebastian - Episode 08: Sebastian gets another severe reprimand for having returned three months late. Frustrations about his job and the narrow-mindedness of his masters keep piling up. In a mad impulse, he decides to blow up all bridges and to run off with the girl of his dreams.

Sebastian - Episode 09: Another job, the same frustrations. In strict and puritan Thuringia there doesn't seem to be much room for music that's out of the ordinary. The situation's getting very tense but, in his moment of despair, Sebastian receives a very unexpected visit.

Sebastian - Episode 10: Sebastian's finally getting recognition in Weimar and the duke's getting very fond of him. Still, the old ducal palace is keeping a dark secret...

Sebastian - Episode 11: The French keyboard master Louis Marchand presents himself at the court of Elector Frederick-Augustus of Saxony. The Elector is so impressed that he replaces his musical director Jan Woulmeyer with the Frenchman. Unfortunate Jan, however, has a brilliant friend...

Sebastian - Episode 12: Sebastian imagined that his return from his duel against Marchand would have been a happy one, but finds that his patron isn't pleased with his too eager performance at the Dresden court. This is, however, nothing compared to the tragedy that awaits him at home...

Sebastian - Episode 13 (part 1): Duke Wilhelm has organised the wedding between his nephew Ernst-August and princess Eleonora-Wilhelmina of Anhalt-Köthen. The Duke thinks rather low of the Köthen family and orders Sebastian to show off so he'll look better than the prince. His plan, however, doesn't turn out the way he'd hoped...

Bach - Episode 18: Things have changed at the Köthen court since the prince got married. The princess doesn't appreciate Sebastian's art and keeps pressuring the prince to concentrate on his political responsibilities rather than music. Desperate, Sebastian applies for a job in Leipzig, but the Leipzig city council isn't very keen on hiring him.

Bach - Episode 19: The Bach family arrives in Leipzig and soon realises that the luxury they were accustomed to is now but a distant memory. Sebastian doesn't get any time to adjust to the new situation as he has to take up his duties right away. The most important one is... being a teacher to 55 orphan boys.

Bach - Episode 20: Sebastian's settling in in Leipzig, but soon finds out that he underestimated the workload the city council wants to put on him.
