Jesu, du mein liebstes Leben,
meiner Seelen Bräutigam,
der du dich vor mich gegeben
an des bittern Kreuzes Stamm;
Jesu, meine Freud und Wonne,
meine Hoffnung, Schatz und Teil,
mein Erlösung, Schmuck und Heil,
Hirt und König, Licht und Sonne:
ach, wie soll ich würdiglich,
mein Herr Jesu, preisen dich?

Jezus, o mijn liefste leven,
bruidegom van mijn ziel,
die zichzelf voor mij hebt gegeven,
aan de stam van het bittere kruis!
Jezus, mijn vreugde en mijn zaligheid,
mijn hoop, mijn schat en mijn deel,
Mijn verlossing, sieraad en heil,
herder en koning, licht en zon,
ach, hoe moet ik u op een waardige manier prijzen,
mijn Heer Jezus?
