The French soprano, Alice Glaie, began studying music at the age of 7. In 1999, she joined the harpsichord class of Jocelyne Spoons at the CNR de Nantes and then she began singing. Passionate about Baroque repertoire and performing arts, she studied at the Conservatoire du VIIème arr. de Paris singing with Caroline Pelon, chamber music with Sébastien Marcq and Elisabeth Joyé, and participated in the opera workshop of Anne-Marguerite Werster. At the Conservatory du XIème arr. de Paris with Julie Hassler, she studied the vocal repertoire of the 17th and 18th centuries, introducing herself to the Baroque gestures and declamation. She is also interested in the dances related to early music: starting with the Renaissance dance she learned with Robin Joly and Marie-Noëlle Visse; then she studied Baroque dance with Cecilia Gracio-Moura. In 2007 she participated Académie d'Ambronay and attended the Baroque singing class of Howard Crook in the Early Music Department of the CRR de Paris, where she also worked with Jean Tubéry. She also formed during her studies internships with Jean-Michel Fumas, Gilles Ragon and Monique Zanetti, and working with Robert Expert, and perfected musical renaissance at CRR de Tours with Véronique Bourin and Denis Raisin-Dadre, among others.
Her interest in the art od stage havs led Alice Glaie to musical theater: she played in le Double Veuvage by Dufresny and L’Empereur de la Chine et frère Rigolet/La Fête de Belébat by Voltaire with the company A l’abordage (staged by Judith Le Blanc). With Ensemble Lunaisiens (Directors: Marzoratti Arnaud and Jean-François Novelli) she participated in Derrière les murs du couvent and played the role of Fatima in Zémire et Azor, ballet comedy by Grétry (staged by Alexandra Rubner).
Alice Glaie is currently performing Concert-tôt, a light concert-show for the little ones together with Fa7.
