The Italian soprano, Annalisa Massarotto, studied singing with Erika Baechi. She specialized in Baroque performance practice with Alan Curtis, Lucia Meewsen, Kees Boeche, Walter Van Hawe and Edward Smith. She took courses in interpretation and refinement for opera singers held by Antonio Juvarra, Leone Magiera, Andrea Papi and Alexandra Althoff Pugliese.
Annalisa Massarotto performs concerts in Italy and abroad, performing with groups of international interest. Her repertoire ranges from Baroque to 1900, with a particular interest in sacred music and chamber music. In 1992 she made his debut in the role of the Orontes in the Baroque opera Il Medoro by F. Lucio, presented for the first time in the modern era at the Teatro Goldoni in Venice. She took part in the events organized by Teatro Stabile del Veneto, collaborating in Il Bugiardo and La Bottega del Caffè by C. Goldoni presented in the summer of 1993 in Venice and Padua, directed by Gianfranco De Bosio, alongside Giulio Bosetti.
Annalisa Massarotto has collaborated, among others, with the chamber choir Reale Corte Armonica Caterina Cornaro of Asolo (TV) directed by R. Zarpellon (Mozart's Requiem, George Frideric Handel's Messiah, Mass in B minor (BWV 232) and Magnificat (BWV 243) by J.S. Bach, Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle), with the regional orchestra Filarmonia Veneta of Treviso (Vespri Solenni by Mozart, Concert for the 150th operetta directed by R. Chalk) and the choir Veneta Cappella Sine Nomine and the instrumentalists of I Sonatori della Gioiosa Marca conducted by C. Rebeschini, with whom she took part in the first complete performance of Vespri della Beata Vergine and Messa e Compieta by A. Freddi.
Annalisa Massarotto has also worked with professionals like Bruno Cesselli, Dino Doni, Giovanni Feltrin and Giuliano Fracasso. She was Padre dell’Ucciso in the oratorio Il Morto Redivivo by Antonio Caldara, performed for the first modern absolute in 1995 in Asolo (TV) directed by R. Zarpellon taking place at the 1st Festival Il Suono del Veneto. She participated in the role of Lauretta, in the world premiere of the musical comedy Il cuore di Venezia by G. Ruetta Fabbian, in 2003 at the Teatro Comunale Elios di Scorzè (Ve). She was Musetta in La Bohème by G. Puccini, Fanny in Cambiale di Matrimonio, Berta in Barbiere di Siviglia and Zulma in Italiana in Algeri by G. Rossini, Flora and Annina in La Traviata by G. Verdi.
For several years Annalisa Massarotto participated in the Festival dell’Aurora of Crotone (Cz ), where she sang under the direction of Michael Radulescu, R. Zarpellon, J. Himtsberger and the Festival of Schladming (Austria) under the direction of H. Winking and T. Christian. In the role of Hanna Glawary in The Merry Widow by F. Léhar, with the Compagnia di Operette dell'Oniro, directed by Franco Pulvirenti, alongside Pippo Santonastaso and Edoardo Guarnera, she has performed in major Italian theaters (Teatro Olimpico in Rome, Ariston in Sanremo, Auditorium of Cagliari, Teatro delle Celebrazioni in Bologna, Gran Teatro in Varese, Metropolitan of Catania, Teatro di Verdura in Palermo).
