The German soprano, Jessica Meffert, was exposed in her youth to wide-ranging music and attended the Landesmusikgymnasium in Montabaur, in which she devoted herself particularly to a major in Flute. While she studied church music (level C) in 2004-2006 with Manfred Faig, she discovered by her first singing teacher Juliane Berg the love of singing. She also attended the master-class of flute with Professor André Sebald.
Since 2007, she studied music and history at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz and at the Universität Köln with a major in voice with Sabine Fues. Despite the increasing vocal specialisation she devotes herself to musical projects of all kinds, as well as private lessons in the subjects piano, ear training and music theory. Her beautiful voice can be heard in several choirs. She participated successfully in several competitions such as " Koblenzer-Mozart-Preis (singing) or "Jugend musiziert" (flute, piano accompaniment , singing) and is a recipient of scholarship of the Richard-Wagner-Stipendienstiftung. |
