|The French tenor and choral conductor, Benoît Porcherot, began singing in the Chœur de Garçons de Lorraine (Nancy) where he started as a soprano. Subsequently, as educational work, he studied different choir schools in Germany (Tölzer Knabenchor), England (Choir of New College, Oxford), Catalonia (Montserrat) and France (Maîtrise de Radio France). Open to other repertoires, he founded in 1995 the Ensemble Madrigal,, training by a voice in the interpretation of early music.
Benoît Porcherot is passionate about singing and a cappella repertoire. He works as choral conductor and integrates various vocal ensembles: Contraste (Besançon), Sagittarius (Director: Michel Laplénie), La Psallette de Lorraine and intensifies as a vocal work with Michèle Ledroit. Currently in Paris, he performs in ensembles: Chœur de Chambre Accentus (Director: Laurence Equilbey), Akadêmia Ensemble (Director: Françoise Lasserre), Ensemble Jacques Moderne (Director: Joël Suhubiette), Les Eléments, Le Parlement de Musique (Director: Martin Gester), Ensemble XIII-21, La Symphonie du Marais. As a soloist he sings various oratorios and operas: Weihnachts-Oratorium (BWV 248), Johannes-Passion (BWV 245), Matthäus-Passion (BWV 244), Magnificat in D major (BWV 243) by J.S. Bach; Messiah, Israel in Egypt by George Frideric Handel; Dido and Aeneas by H. Purcell; Histoires sacrées by M.A. Charpentier; Tageszaiten by Georg Philipp Telemann, Mass in C, Requiem by W.A. Mozart. |
