The American tenor, Patrick Romano, is a distinguished solo performer in oratorio, early, and contemporary music. He has appeared with many ensembles including the New York Chamber Orchestra, the Brooklyn Philharmonic, Smithsonian Chamber Players, Joshua Rifkin’s Bach Ensemble, AmorArtis, Tafelmusik, Waverly Consort, and Steve Reich Ensemble. He recently performed in the role of the Evangelist in J.S. Bach's St. John Passion (BWV 245) in New York City and at the Kennedy Center. He also performed in J.S. Bach's Mass in B Minor (BWV 232) at the Berkeley Early Music Festival. He has been a guest soloist at many festivals, including Casals Festival, the Marlboro Music Festival and the Berkshire Baroque Opera Festival, and the Master Singers of Westchester (since 1984).
