The Belgian tenor, Laurens-Alexander Wyns, was interested in classical music at an early age, and started his music education at the Muziekschool van Tremelo and learned to play the piano with Ilona Dambok. Until his studies at the Lemmensinstituut in Leuven she gave him piano lessons. At 17 he started singing lessons with the singing teacher Sieuw Tuan Loh. He studied at the Lemmensinstituut: singing with the renowned singing teacher mezzo-soprano Dina Grossberger, as well as instruments: piano, organ, trombone, saxophone. He obtained his Master of Music degree in music in singing from the Lemmensinstituut in 2008. Dina Grossberger also connected took him to the Conservatorium of Brussels as her apprentice. He attended master classes with Udo Reinemann, Zeger Vandersteene, Dirk Snellings and Wim Becu.
During his studies, Laurens-Alexander Wyns was organist at the Kerk van OLV van Bijstand in Tremelo, the 'Damiaan' Kerk te Ninde/Tremelo, the Kapel van OLV van Fatima in Tremelo, the Kerk te Onze Lieve Vrouw Waver; and Conductor of the children's choir the Kamiano's. He regularly performs as a singer (since 2009) and pianist / organist in concerts as a solo singer with accompaniment or ensemble. |
