Salomo Liscow [Lischkow; Liscovius] was a German pastor and hymn-writer. He was educated in Leipzig and Wittenberg. He served as pastor in Otterwisch, near Grimma and Bad Lausick (or Lausigk) in 1644. He was Diakonus (2nd pastor) in Wurzen in 1685.
Salomo Liscow's hymns include Nun freue dich, o Christenheit; O Jesu, treuer Hirte; Schatz über alle Schätze; Bedenke, Mensch, das Ende; Also hat Gott die Welt geliebt; In Gottes Namen fang ich an (EG 494). |
