A English baritone, Timothy (Tim) Bagley (Alexander), obtained both his Bachelor of Music degree (2012-2016) and Master of Music degree (since September 2016) from The Royal Northern College of Music.
Timothy Bagley is established across a broad operatic repertoire, with particular distinction in W.A. Mozart, Puccini and Verdi. His career has been filled with impressive performances, such as his role as the 2nd Prisoner in L.v. Beethoven's Fidelio at the prestigious BBC Proms from the Royal Albert Hall (his television debut). He has also shone as Oroveso in Norma with Midland Opera and as the High Priest of Baal in Nabucco with Dorset Opera. He has also sung the roles of Leporello in W.A. Mozart's Don Giovanni (Lyric Opera Studio Weimar), Zuniga/Dancairo in Georges Bizet's Carmen (Opera Loki), and the title role in W.A. Mozart's Le Nozze di Figaro (Opera on Location). He has sung in the chorus and performed roles with Grange Park Opera for five seasons.
His recent opera highlights include the title role in Don Giovanni and Guglielmo in W.A. Mozart's Così fan tutte (The Da Ponte Opera Festival in Vittorio Veneto, Italy), as well as Marcello in La Bohème, Timour in Le Roi de Lahore (UK Stage Première at Dorset Opera), Marullo in Rigoletto (Dorset Opera), Marchese D’Obigny in La traviata (Oxford Opera), Yamadori in Madama Butterfly (Grange Park Opera), and Capellio in I Capuleti e i Montecchi (Red Earth Opera). Most recently for the Dorset Opera 50th anniversary festival he premièred the role of Robert Penny, which was written specifically for him, in Paul Carr’s new opera Under the Greenwood Tree (2024). Later in 2026 he looks forward to singing Escamillo in Carmen for Devon Opera and Conte Almaviva in W.A. Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro for the Da Ponte Opera Festival.
Timothy Bagley's abilities have taken him all over the world, including captivating audiences with his vocals at Grange Park Opera for five seasons (where he has sung in the chorus and performed roles) and joining the renowned Edvard Grieg Kor for Bergen Nasjonale Opera in Bergen, Norway. He married Erin Alexander on August 9, 2025. |
