Julia Barthe (Soprano)

Born: 1965 - Hamburg, Germany

The German soprano, Julia Barthe, received her vocal instruction at the Hamburg School of Music with Professor Gisela Litz. After graduation, she worked with chamber singer Renate Behle. She complete master courses with Klesie Kelly, Barbara Schlick and Maria Venuti.

Later, Julia Barthe had leading parts in opera productions, among others as Poppea in Monteverdi's L'incoronazione di Poppea, Fluvia in George Frideric Handel's Ezio and Euridice in Gluck's Orpheus, as well as in several scenic performances of Arnold Schoenberg's Pierrot lunaire and Paul McCartney's Liverpool Oratorio. Nevertheless, Julia Barthe preferences are in the field of song and oratorio. Concerts lead her to many Germany cities, e.g. to Stuttgart to Helmuth Rilling, and to several European countries.
