The American organist, Karen Beaumont, received her degree in Music History from the University of Wisconsin, and has studied organ with Gerre Hancock, John Behnke, Jeffrey Peterson, and Carol Haackenson.
Karen Beaumont made her solo debut as an organist in New York City at St. Thomas Church in September 1999 and performs regularly in that city as well as other cities in the USA and in the UK. From November 1988 to April, 2011, she provided the organ and choral music at St. James Episcopal Church in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She now plays regularly at All Saints Cathedral and various churches in Milwaukee. In 2002, she completed a recording of French Noels; in 2008 she completed a recording of various Spanish organ composers, and she is currently working on a recording of Austrian organ music. She is an active organ recitalist in the Milwaukee area and throughout Southern Wisconsin. She is also a piano and organ and French Horn instructor.
