Friedrich Bihn (Choral Conductor, Organ)

Born: 1968 - Germany
Died: March 1984 - Hamburg, Germany

The German choral conductor and organist, Friedrich Bihn, was principal organist and Church Music Director of Main Church of St. Michaelis in Hamburg from 1955 to 1974. He was succeeded by Günter Jena. In 1947 he was appoiinted as an organ expert of the Hamburg's Landeskirche. He was also Professor at the Hochschule für Musik in Hamburg.

Friedrich Bihn was known in international organ circles, participating with other musicians like Anton Heiller in events such as the Haarlem organ festival, where they covered organ literature from their respective regions.
