The Capella Sollertia is a top-class Baroque ensemble of internationally sought-after singers and instrumentalists under the artistic direction of Johanna Soller. The Capella Sollertia has its cradle in a widely acclaimed Matthäus-Passion BWV 244 in 2019 and the concert series "Cantate um 1715", in which it can be heard monthly in Munich.
Based on the work of J.S. Bach, Central German Baroque music forms the core of the Capella Sollertia's repertoire. The music critics describe the sound of the ensemble as "plaintively beautiful and beguilingly seductive at the same time" or "with intoxicating power" (Süddeutsche Zeitung).
Always striving for conceptual programs and the connection of known and still undiscovered repertoire, the Capella Sollertia has made its name the claim of its own music-making. |
