Damiano Capelli (Bass-Baritone)

Born: Austria

The Swiss basss-baritone, Damiano Capelli, studied guitar and singing at the Vorarlberger Landeskonservatorium in Feldkirch, Austria. Since 2020, he has continued his vocal studies with Marcel Boone in at Musik Akademie Basel.

Damiano Capelli is mainly experienced in chamber music, choral music, educational programs, historically informed performance, lied repertoire, opera repertoire, oratorio repertoire, projects with speaker and soloist performances. He sang the role of Alidoro in G. Rossini's La Cenerentola at Musik Akademie Basel (February 2022); Johannes Brahms' Ein deutsches Requiem at Musik Akademie Basel (April 2022); Avernus in Detlev Glanert's in Die drei Rätsel with Sinfonieorchester Basel (May 2022) conducted by Stefano Mariani (May 2022); Antonio in W.A. Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro conducted by Vitaliy Kovalchuk at Opernstudio Debüt (May 2023); and particpated in recitals at Musik Akademie Basel (June 2023).
