La Compagna (Baroque Orchestra)

Founded: Zürich, Switzerland

The Swiss Baroque orchestra, La Compagna, has a long-standing partnership with the Kath. Stadtkirche St. Johann Rapperswil, the Coro Piccolo Castello, and Coro Canto and their artistic director Frank Mehlfeld, with whom they have carried out numerous projects over the years. For example, W.A. Mozart's Requiem; Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach's Magnificat; J.S. Bach's Mass in B minor BWV 232, Magnificat in D major BWV 243, Matthäus-Passion BWV 244, Johannes-Passion BWV 245 and many of his church cantatas and instrumental concertos have been successfully performed in church services and concerts. They also work with the Cantemus Thurgau and the Cäcilienchor der Kath. Kirche Zürich Altstetten (Dvořàk), as well as with the choir of the Kantorei der Ref. Kirche Knonaueramt, the Singkreis Hettlingen and Davide de Zotti, Kantor of the Ref. Kirche Rapperswil.

President and Project Organization is the oboist Rico Zela.
