The Catalan tenor, Martí Doñate Soley, graduated from the Escola Superior de Música de Catalunya (ESMUC) in Barcelona in Pedagogy (since 2013), studying singing with Francesc Garrigosa, from whom he is currently taking lessons, and clarinet studies with Xavier Castillo.
Martí Doñate has collaborated with the Cor Francesc Valls de la Catedral de Barcelona, Cor de Cambra del Palau de la Música, Ensemble O vos Omnes, Lieder Camera, Capella de l’Escolania de Montserrat, Cor Jove Nacional de Catalunya, under the direction of Pere Lluís Biosca, Xavier Puig, Xavier Pastrana, Josep Vila and Lluís Vilamajó. Currently, he is part of the vocal groups Cor Cererols, De Canendi Elegantia and Bach Collegium Barcelona (Director: Pau Jorquera). His work on the works of J.S. Bach led him to be the winner of the 2019 Bach Scholarship for young soloists.
Among his future engagements are a production with works by Claudio Monteverdi with the Jove Capella Reial directed by Lluís Vilamajó and J.S. Bach's Mass in B minor BWV 232 with La Capella Reial de Catalunya, under the direction of Jordi Savall. |
