Mikhail Egiazaryan (Piano, Conductor)

Born: 1974 - Russia

The Russian pianist and condctor, Mikhail Egiazaryan [Egiazarian; Yegiazaryan; Yeghiazaryan; Russian: Михаил Егиазарьян], studied from 1992 to 1997 at the Moscow State Conservatory P.I. Tchaikovsky in the classes of Professors Naum Starkman, Tatiana Gaydamovich, Vazha Chachava. From 1997 to 1999 he was a probationer in "concertmaster skills" speciality in Vazha Chachava's class. Now he is a teacher in Moscow musical school named after Gnessins (special piano, chamber ensemble, concertmaster class). He is laureate of national and international competitions.

In 2000 Mikhail Egiazaryan was an official concert-master of Elena Obraztsova Competition and received a diploma for the best accompaniment. In 2002 he was an official concert-master of Moscow International Competitin named after P.I. Tchaikovski.

Since 2002, Mikhail Egiazaryan has been working as accompanist at Helikon-Opera. He has actively participated in concerts as a pianist and a concert-master. In 2006-2007 he organised and succesfully held series of chamber evenings of Helikon-Opera soloists under the joint name "The Gift of Singing Soul". He became a conductor since 2010. He regularly performer across Russia in the capacity of a soloist and the chamber musician. His recent appearances as a concert soloist included Ryazan, Dubna and Moscow Symphony orchestras.

Mikhail Egiazaryan has conducted the folowing theater performances: Vampuka, African Bride by V. Ehrenberg; Le nozze di Figaro by W.A. Mozart; La belle Hélène by J. Offenbach; Fallen from Heaven by S. Prokofiev (based on the opera The Story of a Real Man and the cantata Alexander Nevsky); Visiting the opera tale by A. Pokidchenko; Die Fledermaus by J. Strauss; La Traviata by J. Verdi. He currently lives in Moscow, Russia.
