The German contralto, Franziska Faust, completed in 2009 her singing studies as well as music education and elementary music education at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy" in Leipzig with a diploma.
During her studies, Franziska Faust had guest engagements in the theater and concert areas at the Oper Leipzig, Gewandhaus Leipzig, Semperoper Dresden, Tonhalle Zürich, Laeiszhalle Hamburg, Frauenkirche Dresden, Theater Altenburg / Gera, Theater Plauen-Zwickau and Staatstheater Cottbus. In addition, she was a long-standing member of the Dresdner Kammerchor (Director: Hans-Christoph Rademann), Vocal Concert Dresden (Director: Peter Kopp) (CD recordings e.g. "Le Grazie Veneziane Carus") and the ensemble The 10 Sopranos, in which she devoted herself to crossover programs of classical, jazz and pop. She has been a member of the Chor der Oper Halle since 2009.
As a teacher, Franziska Faust worked in the field of early childhood education and children's voice training. She could be seen as a soloist in small roles at the Oper Halle, such as Ida in Die Fledermaus. In Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story she played the role of Consuela. |
