The Spanisg soprano, Irene Fraile Sesma, joined, at the age of ten, the renowned children's choir Leioa Kantika Korala under the direction of Basilio Astúlez. She frequently collaborated with the San Juan Bautista Abesbatza choir and La Kantoria ensemble, both of them also under the direction of Basilio Astúlez. Later, she completed her professional singing studies at the Juan Crisóstomo Arriaga Music School in Bilbao with the soprano Olatz Saitua. At the same time she graduated from the High Music Center of the Basque Country, Musikene, in the speciality of Musical Pedagogy and she received the second prize in the Euskadi Young Performers Competition, in the Singing category.
Irene Fraile is currently continuing her singing studies at Musikene with soprano Ana María Sánchez and has collaborated as a solo singer in different concerts. In February 2019 she made her debut with the role of Papagena in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte at the Kursaal Congress Center and Auditorium in Donostia. She urrently lives in Bilbao, Spain. |
