Carolin Franke is in high demand as a concert singer throughout Germany and is distinguished by her radiant, direct, and pure vocal tone. She recently performed at the Greifswalder Bachwoche. This season
(2026-2027), she has solo concerts scheduled in Lage, Lemgo, and Schötmar, performing Rossini's Petite Messe Solennelle, and in Salzkotten with a five-part a cappella program. Her repertoire includes works by François Couperin, J.S. Bach, George Frideric Handel, J. Haydn, and W.A. Mozart, among others. Her impeccable intonation, musical precision, and captivating stage presence make her a sought-after soloist.
Through university productions, Carolin Franke has gained extensive experience on the operatic stage, including roles such as Cupid in Offenbach's operetta Orpheus in der Unterwelt (Hochschule für Musik Detmold), Rita in Donizetti's opera of the same name (Hochschule für Musik Detmold), and Eurydice in Georg Philipp Telemann's opera Orpheus (Schola Cantorum Basiliensis, conducted by René Jacobs). Furthermore, she sang the role of Eurilla in a concert performance of Haydn's opera Orlando Paladino with the Detmolder Kammerorchester.
Her versatility is evident in her openness to alternative concert formats. At the Sommertheater Detmold, she initiated a staged production of G.F. Handel's Neun Deutsche Arien in collaboration with director Birgit Kronshage, which thrilled audiences. At Kloster Marienmünster, she participated in the concert "Mehr Wasser" under the direction of Anne Kohler, where she interpreted contemporary works. In the interdisciplinary art project "Flow" (2025), Carolin Franke explored the realms of singing, acting, and dance, utilizing both the stage and the natural world.
Carolin Franke is also passionate about ensemble singing and has collaborated with renowned conductors such as Kammerchor Stuttgart (Director: Frieder Bernius), Dresdner Kammerchor (Director: Hans-Christoph Rademann), and Göttinger Barockorchester (Director: Antonius Adamske). Concert tours have taken her to France, Italy, Israel, the USA, and Asia, among other places.
Alongside her vocal studies at the Hochschule für Musik Detmold, Carolin Franke also dedicated herself to vocal pedagogy and elementary music education. Since autumn 2024, she has been working as a vocal coach and elementary music educator at the Musikschule Höxter.
