The Italian pianist anfd harpsichordist, Elisabetta Guglielmin, obtained her piano diploma (with Massimo Somenzi) and chamber music master-classes (with Mario Brunello) at the Conservatorio “A. Steffani” in Castelfranco Veneto (Italy) in 1986. She then turned her attention to early music, achieving her Degree (Diploma) in harpsichord with the highest marks at the Conservatorio "A. Steffani" under Lia Levi Minzi. She also attended piano and chamber music master-classes with F. Rossi, M. Flaksman, E. Frieser, M. Somenzi, M. Brunello and R. Risaliti. She held Scholarship at the Eastman School of Music at Rochester University in Rochester, New York and New York State University (SUNY) in Stony Brook, New York, obtaining harpsichord diploma with best average in 1996. At the Fondazione Cini in Venice she attended the courses taught by Maestro Kenneth Gilbert and then became his pupil at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana of Siena, where she obtained a Diploma of Merit (1995, 1996, 1997, 1998) and after the final examination received an Honours Diploma and the "Emma Contestabile Scholarship" (1994-1998). From 1997 to 2001, she specialized in harpsichord studies under Maestro Kenneth Gilbert at the Universitaet Mozarteum in Salzburg, which she entered with a merit scholarship. She attended trainee courses and master-classes given by Roberto Pagano, Siegbert Rampe, Davitt Moroney and Andreas Staier. In 1999 she was invited to join Wilbert Hazelzet's class as teacher and co-répétiteur at the Köthener Bach Festtage, Germany (1999-2001). She also obtained Diploma Abilitante di II livello discipline musicali pianoforte from Istituto musicale Pareggiato "V. Bellini" in Caltanissetta in 2010
Elisabetta Guglielmin has been active as a freelalnce pianist and harpsichordist since January 1986. She has given numerous concerts both in Baroque ensembles and in recital in Italy and abroad (USA, France, Germany, Bulgaria, Greece, Austria, Sweden), including the following prestigious European concert halls: the Sala Verdi Milan for the Società del Quartetto (live national broadcast on RadioTre), the Fondazione Cini Venice during the early music week, Saletta Brittoni Treviso, Teatro allo Spasimo Palermo, Teatro Sangiorgi Catania, Saletta dell'Associazione Clavicembalistica Bologna, Villa della Regina Turin, Atelier von Nagel Paris, Wiener Saal of the Mozarteum Salzburg, Kristienhovs Malmgar Stockholm, Leipzig Germany, Bachfest Leipzig, Cologne Alte Musik Festival (Viersen) Köthen Castle, Greece, Bulgaria and the USA.
She has collaborated with a number of orchestras, ensembles and soloists including Marco Rizzi, Maxence Larrieu, Enrico Bronzi, Mario Brunello, Francesco Manara, Danilo Rossi, Wilbert Hazelzet, Valter Vestidello, Orchestra d’Archi Italiana, I Sonatori de la Gioiosa Marca, and Archi del Teatro alla Scala di Milano.
Elisabetta Guglielmin has been Piano and harpsichord teacher at “Fondazione Morello Istituto Musicale A.Serato” in Castelfranco Veneto (1987-2002; harpsichord teacher from 1997); Piano teacher at Associazione “Audutorium” Rosolini Sr in Sicilia (2009-2011); Diploma Accademico II livello “discipline musicali “ at Istituto Musicale “V. Bellini” in Caltanissetta; Harpsichord Teacher and Historical Keyboards at Accademia Internazionale di Musica e Arte AIMART in Rome (from March 2018). She has also taight harpsichord for the Associazione Culturale 3e60 in Turin and also has also given numerous courses and master-classes both in Italy and abroad.
Elisabetta Guglielmin devotes herself by preference to French music of the 17/18th century and to the study of the complete works for harpsichord by J.S. Bach. Publications include: “D.Scarlatti Antologia di 26 sonate” edited by Elisabetta Guglielmin 2010 Carisch Milano. Recordings include: Elisabeth-Claude Jacquet de la Guerre's Complete Harpsichord Suites (OnClassical, 2017); J.S. Bach's Goldberg Variations-Aria Variata alla Maniera Italiana (OnClassical- Naxos USA, 2017). She married Luigi Mariani in 2010, and currently lives in Turin, Italy. |
