Ina Jaks (Contralto)

Born: Blaubeuren near Ulm, Baden-Württemberg, Germany

The German contralto, Ina Jaks, had several formative and influential years in the children's and church choir of her hometown of Blaubeuren near Ulm; then received her vocal training from Emmy Lisken at the Musikkonservatorium in Augsburg, graduating with a soloist diploma in opera and concert singing. Even during her studies, she placed great importance on ensemble singing, for example, as a member of a madrigal double quartet.

Since August 1990, Ina Jaks has been a member of the NDR Chor (now: NDR Vokalensemble), in whose concerts she frequently performs solo parts. Solo engagements both in Germany and abroad, particularly in oratorio and with various recital programs, complete her artistic profile.
