The Korean counter-tenor, Daekyung Kim (Dae-Kyung Kim; Korean: 김대경 독), majored in vocal music at Pusan National University. He then moved to Germany, where graduated from the Diploma and Opera program at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg (2009-2012); obtained his Master of Muisc degree in Early Music and Vocal Performance from the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik Trossingen (2013-2014); and also studied Baroque Singing at Hochschule für Musik Mainz (since 2011). After working as a soloist in Germany, including the Bach Cantata Series Bach-Kantaten-Club Würzburg (2015; Directors: Kensuke Ohira & Gerhard Polifka) and Festliches Barock zum Telemann-Jahr 2017 in Würzburg,, he returned to Korea in 2017.
