The American guitarist and writer, John Kneubuhl, made his Los Angeles debut in March 1976 before a sparse audience at Wilshire Ebell Theater. His ambitious and varied program, emphasizing works of recent vintage, was a welcome relief from the historically ordered bill of fare (warmed-over hors d'oeuvres).
John Kneubuhl wrote the story for the Star Trek: The Original Series episode "Bread and Circuses", although he did not receive screen credit in the finished episode. Kneubuhl has written for several other television shows, including many scripts for the Western program The Wild Wild West, for which he created the memorable villain Dr. Miguelito Loveless, portrayed by Star Trek guest actor Michael Dunn. Other shows he wrote for include Thriller, Gunsmoke, and The Fugitive. He was primarily a playwright, however, with many of his plays exploring his American/Somoan heritage. |
