The Danish pianist, Sverre Larsen, studied at the Danish Conservatory, where his teacher was Karen Lund Christiansen. He made his debut in 1987 and started to appear as a recitalist, soloist and chamber musician. He continued his studies from 1989 at the Franz Liszt Akademy in Budapest with Ferenc Rados, and also with András Schiff, Dezsö Ránki and Zoltán Kocsis.
Sverre Larsen has appeared on radio and TV programmes. He has recorded Bach's Partias (BWV 825-830) and English Suites (BWV 806-811), as well as, Sonatas for flute and piano of Kuhlau with Bent Larsen (flute) and French chamber music for viola, flute and piano with Bent Larsen and Lars Grundt. |
