The Russian mezzo-soprano and singing teacher, Ekaterina Sergeevna Leskova (Russian: Екатерина Сергеевна Лескова), studied at the Moscow State Conservatory named after P.I. Tchaikovsky (1996-2001). She is laureate of two international competitions: "Tsarskoye Selo", Macedonia (2014), St. Petersburg (2021).
Ekaterina Leskova works at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology (MIPT) since 2011, where she is head of the academic vocal department. She has been teaching singing on academic level for 18 years. She has trained laureates and diploma winners of international competitions. She teaches students and adults, they give concerts. A basic musical education is required. She infects her students with a love for J.S. Bach and early music, composers of the 19th-20th centuries, they also perform popular music. She teaches to perform in the style of the composer, immersing the students in the environment and era. She corrects previously developed vocal mistakes. She pays great attention to the culture of the word in singing in different languages: Russian, German, French, Italian, English. She has extensive experience working with both male and female voices, opera and chamber. She currently lives in Moscow, Russia. |
