The German soprano, Veronika Loy, obtained her Bachelor of Music degree from the Mozarteum Salzburg (October 2017-2019), as well as her Master's degree in Opera and Music Theater (class of Gernot Sahler and Alexander von Pfeil) in 2022 and her Master's degree in Lied and Oratorio (class of Pauliina Tukiainen) in 2023. During her studies she was a member of Andreas Maccos' singing class. She attended master-classes with (among others) Andrew Watts, Vesselina Kasarova, Dorothea Wirtz, Petra Lang, Susanne Eisch, Sibylla Rubens, Fenna Kügel-Seifried, Simon Lepper, Arttu Kataja und Luca Pianca. With her song duo partner Victoria Guerrero, she reached the final of the Internationalen Wettbewerb für Liedkunst in 2022 and won 1st Prize in The Sir Ian Stoutzker Prize in the same year.
During her studies Veronika Loy was seen in various concerts and opera productions, including as a soloist in Johannes Brahms' Deutschen Requiem with the Chor der KlangVerwaltung under the direction of Jörn Andresen, as Mrs. Coyle in Benjamin Britten's Owen Wingrave, Servilia in W.A. Mozart's La clemenza di Tito, Marguerite in Charles Gounod's Faust and Poppea in C. Monteverdi's L'incoronazione di Poppea. She was also a member of BachWerkVokal Salzburg (Director: Gordon Safari).
Since 2022, Veronika Loy has been a member of the Internationalen Opernstudios des Staatstheaters Nürnberg, where she will be part of the permanent ensemble from the 2024-2025 season. |
