UniChor Mainz (Choir)

Founded: Mainz, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany

The UniChor Mainz is the choir of the Johannes Gutenberg-Universität. Students, teachers, and staff from all disciplines, as well as trainees and professionals who are not necessarily based on the university campus, meet here to work together on exciting choral works in a fun and challenging way.

The UniChor Mainz is directed by Professor Felix Koch, who is supported by a dedicated team in rehearsing major vocal and choral-symphonic works. These are then performed - usually together with the UniOrchester Mainz - at special concert venues in the region, such as the Rheingoldhalle, the Rheingoldhalle, or Halle 45. The UniChor Mainz also regularly performs in Frankfurt, Wiesbaden, and Kaiserslautern.
