Laurin Oppermann (Tenor, Harp)

Born: November 21, 1990 - France

The French-born tenor and harpist, Laurin Oppermann, comes from a family of musicians and grew up in France. At the age of 7 he discovered his love for the harp. A few years later, singing lessons began. He is winner of the Händel-Gesellschaft 2003, and winner of the Jugend Musiciert competition in both subjects, singing and harp. He obtained his Bachelor of Music degree in singing from the Hochschule für Musik "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin with Scot Weir; and his Master of Music degree from the "Hochschule für Musik "Franz Liszt" in Weimar with Professor Michail Lanskoi. In addition, he has been a student of Gerd Türk at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis in Basel since 2018. Master-classes with Emma Kirkby, Margreet Honig, Robert Dean Smith, Nicholas Clapton and Francisco Poyato were great inspirations for him.

Laurin Oppermann works as a freelance opera singer in Germany and abroad. In addition, he often appears in concert and oratorio areas as a tenor soloist and Evangelist.
