The Italian pianist, Luigi Palombi, graduated in Piano and Composition from the Milan Conservatory under the guidance of Mariagrazia Grauso and Sonia Bo.
He has appeared in concert at prestigious venues, such as: Teatro dal Verme (Milan), Pinacoteca di Brera (Milan), Teatro Filodrammatici (Milan), Teatro dell’Elfo (Milan), Castelvecchio (Verona), Scenario Pubblico (Catania); and has performed for music festivals and institutions such as: La Società dei Concerti (Milan), Società del Quartetto (Milan), Società Umanitaria (Milan), Festival MiTo Settembre Musica (Milan), Festival Umberto Giordano (Baveno). His intellectual curiosity has led him to explore music in all its expressions, from the chamber experiences with the Secret Theatre Ensemble at the 24th Fadjr International Music in Iran (2008), to the orchestral ones with the Jazz Discovery Ensemble. In the theatrical field, he contributed with the music for the shows “Et incarnatus est: W. A. Mozart - Tema con divagazioni” and “Parole Mute” (Enriquez Award in 2009).
As a soloist, he has played for artists such as Ennio Morricone and Nicola Piovani. He composed the soundtrack for the Human 4d version of the film “In guerra”, directed by Davide Sibaldi. In March 2017 the magazine Amadeus published in CD download his recital “Sogno di un valzer - una società in ballo”. For the Dynamic label, he recorded: “Duke Ellington - Piano Works” (2015), and “Cinema” (2018) dedicated to original piano soundtracks. |
