The English harpsichordist, Paul Parsons, won a scholarship to Chetham’s School of Music, where he studied organ, harpsichord and oboe; he went on to Cambridge, where he was organ scholar at Gonville and Caius. Later he had a period of study with Lionel Rogg at the Geneva Conservatoire.
After his studies, Paul Parsons took up various posts, namely Sheffield Cathedral, Wymondham Abbey and St. Cyprian’s, Clarence Gate, London, where he is currently director of Music. He lives in Cambridgeshire and divides his time between his recital and recording programme, two choirs that he runs in London and the music therapy that he teaches in Norfolk. |
