The French soprano Laurence Pouderoux is winner of the 2nd Prize at the Concours International de Chant Baroque de Froville. Her interests naturally draw her to early music, particularly that of 17th-century Italy, which she studied with Rosa Domínguez. She is pursuing a Master's degree in lyric singing at the CNSMDP in Alain Buet's class, from which she graduated with distinction in June 2023. Her interest in chamber music led her to join Anne Le Bozec's class, with whom she studied French melody and Lied.
Soprano Laurence Pouderoux is a singer whose diverse interests drive her to use her voice to serve an ever-expanding repertoire. She discovered plainsong and medieval polyphony with Sylvain Dieudonné, conductor of the Ensemble Pérotin le Grand, with whom she collaborated on numerous productions. At the same time, she explores other musical worlds, such as the extremely virtuosic coloratura roles: Léo Delibes' Lakmé, Ophélie in Ambroise Thomas' Hamlet, Queen of the Night in W.A. Mozart's Die Zauberflöte. She is also deeply attached to the choral repertoire, through which she experienced her first musical experiences within the choir of Notre-Dame-de-Paris under the direction of Lionel Sow. She performs works ranging from Gregorian chant to contemporary creations in collaboration with prestigious ensembles such as Ensemble Pygmalion (Director: Raphaël Pichon), Le Concert Spirituel, Chœur de Radio France, and soon the Le Concert d'Astrée (Director: Emmanuelle Haïm), as well as other ensembles and under the direction of Hervé Niquet, Kent Nagano, Mikko Frank, Fabio Biondi, Martina Batič, and John Nelson. |
