The American conductor, composer and church musician, Thomas D. Rossin, obtained his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Valparaiso University; his Master of Fine Arts degree degree in Choral Conducting (also studied Music Arts History) from the University of Minnesota; and his Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Minnesota. His Doctoral dissertation topic was an analysis of the marginal notations made by J.S. Bach in his personal Bible.
Dr. Thomas D. Rossin has been Choir Director Director of Vocal Music at Brainerd Senior High School (1974-1983); Director of Choral Activities at St. Cloud State University (1983-1986); Director of Choral Activities and Chair of the Music Department at Augsburg College (July 1986-1992); Associate Conductor and General Manager of the National Lutheran Choir in Minneapolis-St. Paul (1987-1996). He is the founder (July 1996) and conductor of Exultate. He is also currently the director of the Senior Choir at Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd in Minneapolis.
An active leader in the field of choral-music education, Thomas Rossin is past President of the Minnesota chapter of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA). He has choral compositions published by Concordia Publishing House and Kjos Music Press. |
