Eva Schad (Choral Conductor, Organ, Harpsichord)

Born: July 26, 1967 - Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany

The German choral conductor, organist, harpsichordist and church musician, Eva Froebe-Schad, studied Protestant church music (A) as well as organ and harpsichord (concert exam): harpsichord with Jon Laukvik at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart (Kirchenmusik B, 1992); organ with Michael Radulescu at the Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien (1995; church music and organ with Wolfgang Zerer at the Musikhochschule Hamburg (Kirchenmusik B, 1997). In 1992 she won 1st Prize at the Internationalen Orgelwettbewerb ›Johann Sebastian Bach‹ (Luzern).

Eva Schad has been a church musician at the der Christuskirche Bremerhaven since October 1995 and directs the supra-congregational groups in the Bremerhaven church district, including the Evangelische Stadtkantorei Bremerhaven and the Bremerhavener Kammerchor.
