The German tenor, Patrick Siegrist, first studied music education at the Musikhochschule Karlsruhe, and then opera and concert singing at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt/M. in the class of Professor Karl Markus, later followed by private studies with Professor Renate Faltin (Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin).
Patrick Siegrist can often be heard as an oratorio and concert soloist in western and southern Germany. He places a major artistic focus on early music. He also enjoys devoting himself to contemporary compositions, primarily with the Basler Madrigalisten, who regularly take on demanding ensemble tasks in productions at the Opernhaus Zürich.
Concert tours, both as a soloist and with well-known early music ensembles, have taken Patrick Siegrist to Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, France and Spain, among others. He is active in many ensembles, including the Deutschen Kammerchor, Vocalconsort Berlin, Cappella Amsterdam (Director: Daniel Reuss), Arsys Bourgogne (Director: Pierre Cao), Vocalensemble Rastatt (Director: Holger Speck) and Zürcher Sing-Akademie (Director: Timothy Brown/Florian Helgath). He has sung under the conductors Marcus Creed, Daniel Reuss, Heinz Holliger, Gabriel Garrido, Pierre Cao and Michael Schneider, among others. Radio and CD recordings for WDR, Deutschlandfunk and SWR, among others, complement his artistic activities. |
