The German soprano, Heidi Maria Taubert, received her first musical instruction in the girls’ choir at the conservatory in her hometown of
Dresden. This was followed by her studies in voice and baroque music in
Dresden and Leipzig, most significantly with
Marek Rzepka. She has been strongly influenced by master-classes with Monika Mauch and Richard Wistreich as well as by her complementary studies in musicology and choral conducting.
With her clear, graceful and nevertheless strongly expressive voice, Heidi Maria Taubert devotes herself primarily to Renaissance and Baroque music. Of particular importance to her are stylistic precision and fidelity to the sung text. She is now a sought-after soloist and a highly-regarded ensemble singer. Invitations to festivals such as the Dresden Music Festival, Heinrich Schütz Musikfest, Handel Festival in Halle, Bachtage Potsdam, the
Bachfest Leipzig, Festival Mitte Europa, Trigonale in Klagenfurt, St. Wenceslas Music Festival in Ostrava, and MITO SettembreMusica attest to this. Collaborations with ensembles such as
Ensemble Amarcord, Lautten Compagney Berlin (Director:
Wolfgang Katschner), Exxential Bach, Cappella Sagittariana Dresden, Instrumenta Musica,
Collegium Marianum from Prague,
Batzdorfer Hofkapelle, Johann Rosenmüller Ensemble, Arte dei suonatori and with conductors such as
Wolfgang Katschner, Gregor Meyer,
Jana Semerádová́,
Matthias Jung, Ludger Rémy,
Matthias Grünert, Gotthold Schwarz,
Roderich Kreile and Peter Kopp as well as her church music performances with various choirs and orchestras have taken her throughout Germany and to several other European countries.
Numerous radio and CD recordings document her artistic work. With her ensemble Opella Musica, Heidi Maria Taubert is also involved in recording all of
Johann Kuhnau's sacred vocal music. |
