The Russian organist and atronomy teacher, Alexander Stanislavovich Tsvetkov (Russian: Александр Станиславович Цветков), studied at Physics and Mathematics at Lyceum No. 30 (Физико-математический лицей № 30) (1983-1985); and Astronomy at the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics of St. Petersburg State University (1985-1990).
Alexander Tsvetkov has worked at St. Petersburg State University since 1990: Researcher at the Astrometry Laboratory (since 1990); Assistant at the Astronomy department (1994-1997); Astronomy Teacher at the Astronomy department (1998-1999); Associate Professor at the Astronomy department (since 2000). He is also teacher of computer science there and system administrator of a school computer network. Since 1999, he is Candidate of Physics and Mathematics Sciences, thesis: "Information and communication technologies in the professional activities of a teacher in the context of the implementation of the Federal State Educational Standard". He is also an active organist and currently lives in Pavlovsk. |
